The vegetation and atmosphere around this area is mostly tropical in nature. But variations in topography, rainfall, humidity and soil nutrients make it a diverse environment. The shallow-water marine fauna and flora of the Caribbean centers around the submerged fringing coral reefs, which support diverse assemblages of fishes and other forms of marine life.
Trade, investment, invasion, and diplomacy; the United States exerts extraordinary influence over how history unfolds here currently. But in times of discovery and colonization of the Caribbean, credit goes primarily to the Spaniards, specifically Christopher Columbus because he played a big role in history for being one of few who decided to sail West into unknown seas in hopes of finding better shortcut routes for trading goods with the Eastern World. Little did he know, the world was bigger than he thought and that there was land that hadn't been colonized by a modern civilization.
