I'm preparing for a job interview and I want to impress the interviewers by describing some of my personality traits according to a reliable personality test. I always heard that the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator was a good one to use for determining personality type, so I've decided to do some research to determine how reliable it is. I know that personality tests can sometimes can entice people because they help us to develop a personal narrative. Personality tests also often result in the Barnum Effect – a psychological phenomenon that happens when people think that vague descriptions very accurately describe them. So I want to do some research before just diving in with the Myers-Briggs.
