The purpose of the Comics and Graphic Novels Collection at the CSU Michael Schwartz Library is to provide library users with a diverse and multi-use selection of graphic works for entertainment, education, and inspiration.
Our collection goals and selection criteria were developed with a focus on ideas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as the needs and interests of the CSU campus community as a whole.
Our collection of quality fiction and non-fiction narratives on a variety of subjects can be used for leisure reading, to provoke thoughtful discussion and inquiry, or as curricular resources.
For the sake of transparency and accountability, we have made available here the goals and criteria used to build this collection.
