Library Support for Online Teaching and Learning

Like you, some of us are on campus, and others are working remotely. We're all here for you, wherever you are, providing the services and support you've come to rely on. Please don't hesitate to reach out to the library with specific questions.

Setting Up a Virtual Reference Meeting

The library's online chat, text, phone, and email reference services are all available, and our librarians are always happy to answer your questions.

If you or your students would like to conduct a streaming video reference meeting, we are happy to accommodate! Please contact your librarian and decide on a preferred way to communicate. Some possible platforms for conducting the meeting are below, and which is used is up to you and the librarian.

Blackboard Collaborate
To set up a meeting, the librarian will set up the Blackboard Collaborate meeting and send a link to you or your student to join the online room. A room can be set up for a specific time or immediately.
Panopto
If you or a student has a question that would be best answered with a video and it's not possible to meet synchronously, the librarian may create a video response in Panopto and email the link to you or the student.
Microsoft Teams
CSU's Microsoft Teams subscription allows us to quickly set up a virtual meeting and share it with you or your students.
Zoom
To meet in Zoom, the librarian will set up the meeting room either for a specific time or right then and send the link to join to you or your student.
Iorad
Iorad is a free browser plugin that allows the librarian to make step by step tutorials in your browser. The tutorials are accessible through the student’s browser, mobile or not.
