CSU Multi-Factor Authentication is here!
Beginning Tuesday, April 18, 2023, IS&T began requiring multi-factor authentication (MFA) for patrons logging in to CSU's Single Sign-On from off-campus. MFA is an essential security feature that will heighten CSU's security and help protect your account credentials and online identity.
This affects users of Library systems that require Single Sign-On logins from off-campus, including interlibrary loan and access to research databases and other secure online collections. Students, faculty and staff who use these systems from off-campus need to enroll their phone or other mobile device in MFA, then enter a special code sent to that device to verify their identity when logging in. Options exist for smartphones, tablets, and basic phones.
To get started, visit https://www.csuohio.edu/technology-security/multi-factor-authentication, where you'll find information and instructions for enrolling via a smartphone/tablet (Microsoft Authenticator app) or basic cell phones (calls/text messages), as well as answers to frequently asked questions.
