Congratulations to the Fall Class of 2022

Wow.  You made it.  I just wanted to offer congratulations on behalf of all of us at your Michael Schwartz Library.  

What an extraordinary accomplishment this moment is — and you’ve made it during circumstances none of us could have imagined. While we missed seeing you fill our library spaces during the campus shutdown — studying in groups, late into the night, coffee in hand — we are glad that we could still find ways to stay connected with you on your academic journey.

It has been wonderful to connect with you in tens of thousands of online consultations with our librarians, figuring out how to request and pick up research materials remotely, and finally making your way back to us, enjoying our quiet study areas and filling our group study rooms. We are happy you found your Library to be a key point of connection and a resource for your studies. Many of you even worked side-by-side with us to offer much-needed library services, and to you we say we couldn't have managed without you.

The perseverance and creativity you have employed over the last several months will serve you well as you step into the next chapter of your journey.

Congratulations! We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next.
