As a member of the OhioLINK consortium, the Cleveland State University Libraries upgraded our library services platform to Ex Libris Alma/Primo this summer (2025). Alma/Primo is the most-used library system in U.S. academic libraries, and is used to manage day-to-day operations as well as to help faculty and students find and access the information they need for teaching, learning and research.
A Statewide Collaboration
CSU Library staff, along with colleagues at OhioLINK and 115 member libraries across the state, have been working tirelessly since June 2023 to bring this system migration to life. The project is on track, and CSU is now live in the new system. We invite our community to explore Discovery @ CSU and learn with us, and we look forward to sharing the benefits of more streamlined resource management and new search features with our community.
The CSU Libraries' new library platform is now live. OhioLINK items requested under the old system (checked out before June 11) must be returned by July 7. To avoid overdue fees, please return all OhioLINK items by Monday, July 7, 2025.
New web sites have replaced the following online resources:
Links (URLs) to items and searches in these services will need to be updated. Need help checking links in Blackboard or your syllabus? Contact your Personal Librarian!
The library's collections are the same, but the interfaces listed above (which are used for searching and interacting with our collections) are different.
Databases in the A-Z list and the content within them (journal articles, streaming media, etc.) are unaffected by the migration. All will continue to work as usual with no anticipated service or access interruptions.
Features and benefits of the new system:
It also has a lot of enhancements available on the back-end for library staff, allowing us to provide better service to you!
