To locate books for children and/or for young adults, use the following resources:
Search juvenile as a keyword, combining it with other terms. For example, gay parents AND juvenile. Results will include juvenile fiction and juvenile literature.
Also search children's literature as a keyword, combining it with other terms. For example, friendship AND children's literature. Results will include books for kids.
Scholar is the online catalog of the CSU Libraries. For every item that the Michael Schwartz Library or the Law Library owns, a summary or description is created and is added into Scholar.
Use Scholar to search for BOOKS and for other items, like DVDs, videos, CDs, eBooks, government documents, and the TITLES of journals, magazines, and newspapers available in the CSU Libraries' collections.
You can search for items a number of ways, including by Title, Author, Keyword, or Subject.
Use the search box below for a basic search, or go to the Scholar Online Catalog. You can use the Advanced Search screen for more complex searches -- combine keywords, apply limits, sort results.
There are four separate collections of materials in the Curriculum Materials Collection:
To limit search results to books from the Juvenile Collection, do a KEYWORD search in the Scholar Online Catalog using JUVCOL and a topic.
Ex. JUVCOL AND MATHEMATICS
To limit search results to items from Curriculum Materials and Curriculum Media, do a KEYWORD search in the Scholar Online Catalog using CURMATS and a topic.
Ex. CURMATS AND MATHEMATICS
Items in JUVCOL and CURMATS have a 14-day loan period!
