The SCHOLAR catalog is the easiest way to search for books, films, music and other items held by the library. A library catalog is essentially just a database of the library's collection. However, the library catalog will not contain access to individual articles published in periodicals (newspapers, scholarly journals, magazines) to which the library subscribes.
To check if the library owns a specific book, you can search by keyword or title.

The library record will tell you the location of the book, its call number, and its availability.
