The librarians at Cleveland State are always very happy to answer your questions about the university and/or research, so please don't hesitate to approach us with your questions! Here are some topics that we often receive questions about:
- Finding library sources
- Conducting research
- Citing sources correctly
- Developing a research question
- Directions and services of the university
- Using library technology like scanners and audiovisual equipment
- Using electronic course reserves
You can ask a question in a number of ways:
- Approach a librarian at the reference desk, which is on the west end of the 1st floor of Rhodes Tower.
- Call the reference desk at 216-687-5300.
- Find your personal librarian and contact him/her directly.
- Use the library's chat service, which appears as an "Ask Us" tab on the right on the library's website.
When you visit the librarian with a question related to research, he or she may ask questions like "What are you researching?" "What searching have you done so far?" and "What kind of information do you need?" If you are prepared with answers to these questions, you'll be ready to work with the librarian to complete your research project successfully!
