News and magazine sources offer up to date information on developing events and issues.
Keep in mind that any news source is going to have some form of bias. The publication or author might cater to a conservative or liberal audience, and even the most politically balanced news sources are going to carry the biases of their society.
It is your job as the reader and researcher to critically approach any text. You do not have to discount a source at the slightest sign of bias, but rather, be aware of the purpose of their message and the evidence they offer for the claims they are making.
