Jeanne Marie Laskas has written 6 books to date, and is an accomplished journalist and columnist with work appearing in GQ, Washington Post Magazine, New York Times Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, The Oprah Magazine, and various other publications. She is the director of the The Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also teaches creative writing classes. She and her family live on a horse farm in Scenery Hill, PA.
