Library Session Challenges

See how many of the following you can accomplish! For each one that you finish, raise your hand so Mandi can check your work.

  1. Can you use Scholar to find a score for Haydn’s “Clock” Symphony (No. 101)? Bonus: What is the uniform title for this work?
  2. Can you use Scholar to find a recording that includes both Haydn’s “Clock” Symphony (No. 101) and his “Surprise” Symphony (No. 94)?
  3. Can you use Naxos to find a recording of a Haydn Symphony performed by the Cleveland Orchestra? Bonus: Can you find three recordings all conducted by different Cleveland Orchestra conductors?
  4. Can you Music Index or RILM to find an article about performance anxiety and orchestra musicians? Bonus: Can you narrow your results to the last two years? How many articles are left?
