Research question: What is the role of religious institutions in working towards social justice?

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral

The Trinity Cathedral, current seat of the Episcopalian Diocese of Ohio, has a long history as part of the religious and social community of the city. The original Trinity Parish was located in Brooklyn, Ohio and built in 1816. It later moved to what is now West 3rd street, and moved to the building on Euclid Ave. in 1907. The church has historically been involved in social outreach programs and has been an advocate for civil rights and equality in times where other parishes were not as invested in these issues. Currently, it runs a series of music and performing arts programs, many of which are open to the public.
