A new trial database for genetics: OMMBID

posted by Donna Stewart on 2019-10-16T12:23:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

The Michael Schwartz Library currently has a free trial to OMMBID, an essential online resource with complete coverage of the genes and genetic mechanisms underlying human disease states. It is based on the world’s most respected book on the subject, Metabolic and Molecular Bases of Inherited Disease, first published in 1960. The site was recently updated with the newest edition of this book.

Scriver's OMMBID is a digital reference tool that provides geneticists, researchers, students, clinicians, and fellows involved with the causation and treatment of inherited diseases -- with cutting edge information spanning the entire field of genetics. OMMBID provides the latest knowledge on the metabolic and molecular underpinnings of a growing list of inherited diseases – as well as updates on pathophysiology and treatment.

The trial will be active through November 15, 2019.
